Mobile, AL - October 22nd, 2004 - The Federal Aviation Administration has issued Star Aviation of Mobile, Alabama an STC for the installation of Cabin Wireless Local Area Network Systems in Boeing 777-200 and 777-300 type aircraft.
This system allows passengers to access the internet or their corporate intranet using their laptop computers if equipped with an IEEE 802.11b compliant wireless LAN card. This system is intended to provide internet content and email services to the airplane’s cabin passengers with access via PED’s.
