Mobile, AL – February 17th, 2005 - The Federal Aviation Administration has issued Star Aviation of Mobile, Alabama an STC for the installation of a modified Glareshield in Cessna 500, 501, 550, 551, 560 and S550 type aircraft.
Southern Star Avionics, a Star Aviation partnership, will use this STC for Cessna Citation business jet modifications. This kit modifies the existing glareshield fairing, moving an annunciator panel and several sets of switches up into the glareshield. What’s the point? As avionic systems evolved over time, more and more panel space was needed for such items as multi-function displays. This STC opens significant panel real estate, making room for these modern systems.
