STAR AVIATION HAS AS9100 CERTIFICATION & DMIR ON STAFF

Mobile, Al April 6, 2007 – Star Aviation recently received AS9100 certification by QMI,
North America's leading management systems registrar. Star Aviation received AS9100
certification in all areas of engineering, product certification, manufacturing, and
technical services. AS9100 certification is a globally recognized aerospace sector
standard and is reserved only for companies committed to providing excellent customer
service, continual improvement and outstanding product quality.

In addition, Star Aviation’s Quality Assurance Manager, Al Herron, has received
designation as a Designated Manufacturing Inspection Representative (DMIR) from the
Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). A DMIR may issue original and export
airworthiness certificates, and can conduct inspections of prototype and production
products and related parts necessary to the issuance of certificates.

As an approved FAA Parts Manufacturing Authority (PMA) facility, Star Aviation
supports both new and retrofit avionics and instrument installations for air transport,
general aviation, and military programs. Combined with in-house FAA DERs, the
addition of a DMIR expands our ability to offer complete design and engineering services
to provide approved design data packages and STC’s with PMA approvals.
