Star Aviation is proud to announce we now have Marine Engineering capabilities.
The recent merger between Star Aviation and Borowski Engineering & Analytical Services will provide the marine industry a reliable source for engineering services. Star Aviation’s staff includes over 75 engineers and designers and can offer complete engineering and manufacturing services of any volume to marine and aviation industries.
Borowski Engineering & Analytical Services was founded in 2000 by Garland Borowski, PE, to offer computer-aided design, linear, and non-linear finite element analysis, heat transfer and even simulation for a variety of industries. Garland Borowski has 16 years of marine and stress engineering experience. Borowski’s recent projects included designing weapons elevators for aircraft carriers and foundations for marine fire suppression systems for the next generation of Navy ships for Northrop Grumman Ship Systems.
Linear Static Analysis - the basis for many more complicated analyses and is acceptable for situations in which loads do not result in stresses beyond the elastic region of the material.
Linear Dynamic Analysis - for the determination of stresses and displacements in mechanical objects, systems and heat transfer, solid state diffusion and reactions with moving boundaries and fluid dynamics
Heat Transfer -Either transient or steady state, this analysis can be used to determine temperature of a structure during equipment start-up or during continuous operations.
Fluids - Steady and unsteady flow of viscous fluids around and/or through objects. It is also possible to simulate fans and other rotating equipment through revolving frames.
Non-linear Analysis - is required under such circumstances as stresses approach or exceeds the yield strength of the material.
Event Simulation - Motion and impact are two purposes for conducting an event simulation. Unknown impact forces, motion after impact, inertial load transfer, and wall interaction may also be determined through this analytical technique.
